I am a student who goes to an International School in Tokyo. Recently, I was being part of a cyber-bullying problem that happened on Facebook. I learned that cyber-bullying hurts the target's feelings, but also friends and relatives of the target. But actually this is not right. Also the person who caused the problem would be in a big problem that cannot be controlled, and will end up hurt. To make people understand the dangers and troubles of cyber-bullying, I created this blog.
Now days, cyber-bullying is being popular.
The following Internet site is a blog written by Mr. J.W.Patchin, Co-Director of the Cyberbullying Research Center, on November 20, 2013 regarding issues of cyber-bullying in the United States.
He surveyed nearly 15,000 middle and high school students from over 80 different schools in the United States over the last decade. It seems a very rare ongoing study about cyber bullying.
According to his report, about 24% of the students over the last seven studies have been cyberbullied in their lifetime and about 16% admitted that they had cyberbullied others in their lifetime.
Mr. Patchin also mentioned that a survey conducted by his friends at the Crimes Against Children Research Center at University of New Hampshire reported an increase in cyberbullying behaviors from 6% in 2000, 9% in 2005 to 11% in 2010.
I think his blogs extensively cover issues about cyberbullying. Please check out other contents in his blog also.

The Worst Scenario for Cyber-Bullying
Cyber-Bullying happen in the cyber space. But it's directly connected to the real world. The worst scenario of a cyberbullying is ending up with a death of the victim. It's a homicide! You should remember that in the cyber space, sometime you can restart from the beginning, but in the real world nobody can turn the clock back!
Below are videos about a very tragic story about girls who commited suicide because of cyberbullying.
1) Olivia Scott, a 16 year old girl, committed suicide after being cyber bullied. Mother of Olivia advises that if your child is in depression, you should see a doctor immediately. Or else it will blow it off.

2) A 12 year old girl, Becca, was bullied by her classmates in her school in Cristal Lake. Kids wrote "Kill yourself" to Becca which made Becca cut herself. Soon her parents made Becca change her school into Lawton Chiles Academy. Things seemed to go well for the parents but not for Becca. One day Becca went missing and was found dead. Police said that there should be track of online stalking going on.
