Actor and singer Takuya Kimura made a surprise appearance at the Seibu Shinjuku PePe Square on January 8, when his first solo album "Go with the Flow" was released.
About 2,000 people gathered at the square to see his original footage that came up on the Shinjuku Yunika Vision on the other side of the street. At the end of the footage, Kimura on the screen said, "Hey, turn around!" Then, the real Kimura appeared on the balcony of the PePe building, which made the spectators cheer loudly.
The album includes songs written by Noriyuki Makihara, Koshi Inaba, and Naotaro Moriyama.

Rookie pitcher Rouki Sasaki, selected by the Chiba Lotte Marines as the No. 1 draft pick last year, moved into the club's dormitory in Saitama on January 8. He said, "I feel a little uneasy because this is my first dormitory life, but this environment allows me to enjoy playing baseball to my heart's content."
Sasaki is known for throwing a 163-kph pitch, which is still the fastest ever among high schoolers.

It was learned on January 5 that comedian Junichi Davidson, who is famous for doing an impression of football player Keisuke Honda, left the management company "Ammy Park" to become dependent.
He started his own company "Junichi LLC." to centralize all contacts for business offers regarding YouTube, TV, and stage performances.
Junichi already reported his independence to Honda via LINE. He said that the star football player replied using a rugby word, "It is a nice try!"
Junichi won the R-1 Grand Prix, a comedy competition for solo comedians, in 2015,
