This movie is recommended on Tomohiro Machiyama's 'Trauma movie theater.'
Elementary school girl Rhoda is in fact a psychopath, kills her neighbors around one by one.
Because this movie was created under Hays Code restriction era, the DVD version ending is different from what the director truly intended. According to original version, Rhoda killed some neighbors and even her own mother indirectly, yet she was never accused. On the other hand, in DVD version her mother somehow recovered from gun suicide, instead Rhoda has sudden lightning to death.
Although Machiyama's book is a must read, it reveals all the plot in details. I couldn't enjoy suspense aspect since I remember almost all.
