I woke up this morning, to 15 emails...!

"Oh good, the new ratings must finally be up!"

After checking the ratings, I stepped outside to go jog, and found it to be noticeable cooler than usual. もみじ

So, what else...

visited a new Asian market today. It's got a good selection like the more expensive ones, but it's cheap like the crummy little ones. アップ So I got some of my favorite brand of tofu, some ginger tea, senbei, etc...

Lately I've found jogging more and more enjoyable! 音譜 Although I never thought the day would come when I'd be saying that...

And now it's time for me to be studious! ヒマワリ
I met some of the exchange students by chance, the other night.

It really blew my mind, seeing people with the same birth-year as me!

It might be seen as something common to other people, but I think on my whole facebook friends list, I probably only had 2 other people born in 1990, before todayあせる

This may sound ridiculous to you, but it's actually really hard for me to grasp the concept of "this person is the same age as me".キラキラ

(I guess it's because I haven't been in a group made up completely of my same-year-peers since 1st grade, and haven't been in a group with even a single one of my peers since 3rd...!)
When I awoke this morning, I felt like I had cracked my skull open and been pelted in the stomach with a bunch of rocks. 叫び (左矢印isn't that thing the best!?) It's generally assumed that most humans work in similar ways, so I'm sure everyone has these kinds of days, from time to time, but that doesn't make it any more pleasant. しょぼん

Anyways, after 4 hours of gulping down water and pain relievers and wandering around my room restlessly, I gave up on trying to do anything productive, and decided to step outビックリマーク

When I say "step out", I don't mean that I literally stepped outside for some fresh air, or anything -- that probably would have just made things worse. Anyways, you just curl up into a ball on the floor and put on some sort of music and rock yourself back and forth until you're not really aware of having a body anymore. オバケ

Eventually, maybe the music will stop or something, and you'll snap out of it, and find that it's been an hour or so, and if all went well, whatever you were avoiding has naturally passed. 虹 I also generally find my mood to have improved. 星

(I can't even imagine how crazy it must look to other people ブタネコ)

So, that was my day. ダウン

I know there are tons of people out there who love the hot months, but it seems that almost everyone I associate with is looking forward to cooler temperatures. 雪 Waking up with stiff bones, pale, dry skin, throwing on so many layers of clothing that just moving around becomes a clumsy affair, then finally walking out to the cold wind burning my face.... 台風 Cold weather really saps away my strength...!むかっ

I'm so annoyed with so many people! (Whether I myself am included in that group of people I'm annoyed with, is yet to be decided.) It's ridiculous! DASH!

On a brighter note, I included a picture of some pho I had on Thursday night. ラーメン I swear, Joseph and I have bought the owners of that place a new house, with all our business... とかげ

For leisure I started reading this one old Japanese book about a bug-catcher who goes out to some sandy dunes to catch beetles, but instead gets caught by a woman who lives in a house buried in sand. Sand's always falling in through the cracks in the roof and making it hard for the characters to breathe, and getting in their eyes and their mouths, and just reading about all that discomfort makes me appreciate every moment that I don't have smelly sand sprinkling down on me.

I'll conclude this post by saying that my quest (the one we spoke about before you left) has been minimally fruitful, but just fruitful enough to encourage further work in the field.グッド! (You know, the field of stalking.) 足あと

All these things I wrote-challah

It's 2 AM, and suddenly out of nowhere I have the urge to bake Challah.

"But Kaley," I tell myself, "you aren't Jewish. Is this really necessary?"

"Well, of course it is!" I respond condescendingly. "Don't you know anything?"

"But, Kaley, it's 2 AM... bread takes at least 4 or more hours to make, with all the rising and..."

I slap myself in the face. "You can't live your whole life as a slave to time, or you'll never get anything done, you pansy! Do you think Thomas Jefferson cared whether it was 2 AM, when he had something he had to get done?"

To be perfectly honest, I'm not really familiar with most of Thomas Jefferson's achievements, and odds are that he probably went to bed early most of the time. But, he was a president, and we share the same birthday, April 13th, so I figured, why not?

Anyways, I made the damn bread. And it's damn good. I had it for breakfast, and then with a homemade soy latte, for lunch.

Other than that, I went to a pilates class today with some friends... it might be a little too think-y for me--I usually like to just mindlessly move forward when I exercise. But some of my muscles are sore, so it wasn't all for nothing.
