A Semester in the Life of a Garbage Bag is an old book by Gordon Korman that I never tracked down before, and while I am glad I read it, it is not his magnum opus, Son of Interflux. Reply В· lauratfrey В· October 20, 2012 at 12:44 pm. I had no idea he was still writing. I loved SON OF INTERFLUX and LOSING JOE'S PLACE. I read it as a kid and it's HILARIOUS, and pretty clean, if i remember correctly, about two boys in 7th grade who go to a boarding school and all the trouble, etc that ensues. On the YA side I remember reading a lot of Lois Duncan, Richard Peck, and E.L. Gordon Korman, Son of Interflux (6) Libby Bray, A Great and Terrible Beauty (6) I used to LOVE Gordon Korman books, although I don't think I ever read Son of Interflux. Although having 3 sisters I read tons of The Babysitters Club and Sweet Valley High. I loved Helen Raskin (Tattooed Potato, The Westing Game) and Gordon Korman (Son of Interflux). Hopefully I can keep up the momentum.
