Mini R55/R56 N12 Catalytic Converter Recall

These are the parts needed for the cat converter recall.

E70 X5 3.5D Oil Service

Our shuttle/demo E70 X5 diesel is due for an oil service.



The diesel engines use this Castrol SLX Professional OE 5W-30 full synthetic oil.



The diesel oil filter (right) is a lot taller and skinnier than the gas oil filter (left).

Coolant leak

E65/E66 N62 7 series V8's have coolant leaks tokidoki. We're replacing this silver coolant pipe in the middle of the engine or valley pan. It's also a good idea to replace the water pump o-rings and coolant pipes. This is a big job, maybe 30 hours or so because you have to remove the engine. I have no idea why BMW made such a bad design. It's a good thing warranty covers this.
