I had some interesting teachers.
Mr Motroni was the
high-school-history “teacher”.
Everyday, he read the newspaper
during “class”.
There was no homework.
There were no tests.
We had textbooks. But we didn’t use them.
Just sit quietly in the room;
that’s all we could do.
I preferred that.
Ms. Monagal was scary.
She had 2 personalities:
very soft and very evil.
She switched her personality
many times during a single class.
It was always uncomfortable.
That was my public-speaking
class in Jr. high school.
In university, I had a Biology teacher
from Turkey named “Dr. Janloo”.
I liked him a lot.
On the first day of class,
he told us that we don’t have to come
anymore — “Everyone will pass!!”
Naturally, most people stopped coming.
They all passed with a ‘C’.
I kept going to class. I finished with an ‘A’!
After the course, Dr. Janloo emailed me
to congratulate me. “Your ‘A’ was a REAL ‘A’!”
That felt good. :)
