　サンリオは人気キャラクター「ハローキティ」の誕生３５周年を記念して、日本の伝統工芸と融合させたキティ製品を０９年に相次いで売り出す。春に発売する西陣織や文庫革の財布のほか、地場の工房などと協力して、有田焼の万年筆や輪島塗の食器、風鈴や扇子など約７０種類を扱う予定。

　キティは当初、子ども向けのキャラクターだったが、いまや台所用品や携帯用ＤＶＤプレーヤーなど、大人向けのグッズが充実。新しいシリーズは価格もやや高めになるが、キティで育った大人の女性ファン向けに開発したという。

Now, goods for adults such as kitchen equipment and portable DVD players are enhanced though the Kitty was a character at first for children. A new series is said that it developed for an adult female fan that grows up in the Kitty though becomes improving a little also the price.
