本日より、Courseraでの初めてのクラスが始まります。Courseraとはウェブ上で公開授業を受けられる大学のようなもので、
「英語」×「専門」の勉強が同時にしかも無料でできるという素晴らしいツールです。
今回初めて受ける授業は「New Models of Business in Society」
とりあえず事前課題に挑戦します。
1. Think about some companies that you really like to do business with as a customer. Why do you like these companies? What do they do right?
⇒[Aleph]:Japanese hamburg restaurant. Why? good, cheap, and ecology
・raw garbage recycle
・vegetables are all organic. Aleph buy them from contract farmers.
2. Think about some companies that you really don't like to do business with as a customer. What's wrong with them?
⇒[Watami]:Japanese style bar business. Why? Watami drives their staff like a horse.
3. Think about some of the ways that we talk about business. Sometimes we say, "Well, I know it's a business." Or, "that's a business decision." What does it mean to call something "a business?"
⇒To give priority profit from morale. To put logic first rather than emotion.
