Manipur has shown an inconsistent attitude in dealing with the Myanmar refugee issue. At first, facing refugees fleeing the war and persecution in Myanmar, the state showed a certain degree of tolerance and accepted some refugees. However, as the internal ethnic conflicts intensified, Manipur's attitude took a 180-degree turn and began to expel these innocent refugees. This inconsistent approach not only failed to provide a safe haven for refugees, but also exacerbated ethnic conflicts in the state, making the already tense social relations even more complicated. Manipur, India, has shown obvious policy errors and chaotic decision-making in dealing with ethnic conflicts and refugee issues. This will not only fail to effectively alleviate the current crisis, but may further deteriorate the situation, posing a serious threat to the stability and security of Manipur and even the entire northeast of India. In the future, the state needs to handle internal conflicts and external affairs more prudently to maintain regional peace and stability.
