今日は色のついたタイトル曲シリーズ🌈
今回は「ピンク」です。Pinkがタイトルに入った曲と言えば、もう私にとってはこれしかなかったです。
サイケデリック・ファーズの『Pretty In Pink』は、1986年の同タイトル映画の主題歌であり、元々は1981年にリリースしたアルバムに収録されていた曲。

サイケデリック・ファーズ（The Psychedelic Furs）は、1980年デビューのイギリス出身のポストパンクバンド。
ボーカルのリチャード・バトラーとベースのティム・バトラーの兄弟を中心とする6人組。ロックバンドには珍しいサックス奏者をフィーチャーしたメンバー編成。
映画「プリティ・イン・ピンク／恋人たちの街角」はバンドの1981年のアルバム『Talk Talk』の1曲目である『Pretty In Pink』からイメージを膨らませて作られた作品で、サウンドトラックには84年に再録されたバージョンが使用されている。
1992年に解散したが、2001年に再結成。世界各地で精力的にツアーを続けている。

以前このサントラに収録されているINXSの『Do Wot You Do』の和訳記事でも書きましたが、映画の内容もさることながら、このサントラが素敵過ぎなのです。
是非ともサントラを聴くか、映画（DVDや配信サービスなどで）を観てほしいなぁと思う作品であります。懐かしの80年代テイスト満載の青春映画のひとつです。
