I had a fun with my old team from CyberAgent tonight! I'm glad that we can become closer friends even when we our career paths fork.
I think jumping in the dark takes a lot of bravery and a clear vision to answer "why?" I believe you all have what it takes and I appreciate that you support for my vision. よろしく!:)
Ate nori bento against my wishes Hello faithful followers,
I ate nori bento against my wishes today. I am more nikushoku than norishoku so it was an unpleasant surprise to see that arriving late to the bento line restricted my choices from 3 to 1. Because I just ate rice with seaweed and dried fish flakes, I am hungry now. I get a
I ate nori bento against my wishes today. I am more nikushoku than norishoku so it was an unpleasant surprise to see that arriving late to the bento line restricted my choices from 3 to 1. Because I just ate rice with seaweed and dried fish flakes, I am hungry now. I get a little less positive when I'm tired or hungry.
The bright side is that there was some salmon in the bento! Also the reason I was late to get bento is that my kenshu team was really passionate about group work.
It was another fun day of making new friends at kenshu. One of the highlights of the day was giving a jigyoshokai to all douki. I said something nobody understood: 時間を超越する
Perhaps my japanese is wrong but in English i meant to say "transcend time." I acknowledge that I personally cannot live forever, but I want my ideas and internet-based services to be timeless. I want to transcend both cultures and time, which is a challenge that will keep me busy for life.
Just chat with me to brainstorm ideas together! My mind is open source.
I got a much deserved chance to sleep yesterday, so I started the day super genki. After a very informative speech from Kimura san of sumzap, I was handed a coding challenge and tutorial for Unity.
My kenshu work was interrupted by a health check. This was actually one of the highlights because the obachan nurses put octopus-like sensors on my chest during a lung sonogram. The technician in the weird x-ray bus wasn't very nice to me though. He man handled me into the right position instead of re-clarifying verbal directions.
Then I returned to work and used Unity for my first time.UNITY WAS AWESOME! I only made a simple coin pusher but it was a 3D game in 1 hour of dev time. If I join a game team in the future I definitely want to use Unity.
Yeah so it has been emotional. I Look forward to the next adventure with my dokis!
Today was the 3rd day of kenshu (training) at CyberAgent. The 196 shinnyushain (new employees) were split up into groups of 6. For the 3rd time i was very happy with my group members! We had fun getting to know each other and doing group work
In fact we were fortunate enough to win one of the challenges! The Adtech branch asked groups to come up with a useful innovation, and our group's idea was tied for first. Bilingual communication helped us greatly so we could build on cross-cultural ideas.
After kenshu I met up with a friend who just arrived at Tokyo from America. He was lost unfortunately but I ran in the rain to help him find his share house. Then we had ramen together near the sakura in ichigaya. Yozakura time!!!
