Experiencing True Evil
It is possible I have only come in contact with evil three times in my life, all three occurring since my arrival in Japan, once seen, twice heard, and never spoken--until now, that is.
The first, heard, involved a panicked, desperate, late-night call from a clinic of some sort, requesting the presence of an old friend of mine, and a quick cash withdrawal.
The second, seen, was in a text message informing me of the reasons why a female friend of mine would not be able to come and meet for the first time which included descriptions of pain and soreness.
The final one, heard, started out as an excuse and quickly sprang into an emotive and tearful confession.
