フリーのオペレーティング・システム
OpenBSD 6.8 が、リリースされていました。

現在のリリースは、2020年10月18日にリリースされたOpenBSD6.8です。
FreeBSD とかは、ユーザー数が多いのですが、
何故か、OpenBSD は、地味な感じであり、
何だか取っつきにくい・・・みたいなイメージも無きにしもあらず。
それと言うのも、創始者の Theo de Raadt の妙に厳ついイメージのせいなのかな？
ともあれ、まずは、インストールしてみました。
意外や意外。インストールは、さほど難しくはないのです。
では、実機にインストールする前に、
VMware を使って、練習しておきます。
インストール・メディアは、
installXX.iso [i386]、あるいは
floppyXX.img [i386] を、ダウンロードします。

インストール・メディアから起動させます。

Ctrl + ALT + Back Space で、X-window 終了

これで、システムをシャットダウン。
