ポートランド日本庭園

ヒルスボロと言う町に生まれました。ヒルスボロはオレゴン州にあります。子供の時、私とお母さんはビーバートザンと言う町に引っ越しました（ひっこしました）。十七年ビーバートザンに住んでいました。ビーバートザンはポートランドのこうがいです。こうがいに住んだから、よくポートランドにだすねました。

ポートランド町中に「ポートランド日本庭園」があります。ほんとに美しい庭園です。ポートランドの中に一番大好きなことです。中学生時は初めて日本庭園にだすねました。お父さんと始めていたので、すごくうれしかったです。ほそい道を歩きながら、「父さん、これをみて、あれをみて！」とわくわく話しました。それから、遠くのフッドを見ながらとてもおちついた気持になりました。日本庭園から帰てきて、お父さんと私に　「初めてエマ、　あんなにおちついてるのを見たぞう！」と言っていました。この思い出のころから日本語を学び初めたかったです。

ポートランドをだすねると、「ポートランド日本庭園」を見てのほうがいいです。

I was born in a town called Hillsboro. Hillsboro is in the state of Oregon. When I was a child, my mom and I moved to a town called Beaverton. I lived in Beaverton for 17 years. Beaverton is a suburb of Portland. Because we lived in the suburbs, we visited Portland a lot.

In downtown Portland, there's the Portland Japanese Gardens. It's truly beautiful. It's my favorite thing in Portland. I first visited the Japanese Gardens when I was a middle school student. Because this was the first time going with my dad, I was really happy. Walking along the narrow road, I kept saying "Dad, look at this, look over there!" Then, while looking at Mt. Hood in the distance, I felt very peaceful. When we returned from the Japanese Gardens, my dad told me "That's the first time I've seen you look that peaceful." I wanted to start learning Japanese because of this memory.

イメージス後の感想

  二週間前に、イメージスは終わりましたが、まだ終わったように感じします。

　イメージス公演の日に、忙しすぎたので、もっと緊張になりました。朝に、ドレスリハーサルがありました。その後で、お腹がすいたし、ミズ寿司が近かったし、ミズで昼ご飯を食べました。三時間後、みんなと一緒にニッカーボッカーに行きました。日本のダンスがたくさん練習しましたから、自信がありました。しかし、中国の歌がちょっと難しかったので、出演のぎりぎりまでリハーサルしていました。Ｋポープチーム出演のとき、舞台裏のみなんは同じようにダンスして、手を振りました。ライブコンサートみたいでした。すこく楽しいました。

　公演の日に、緊張で、楽しくて、いろいろな情緒がありました。全部の情緒はその日を特別になりました。でも、あの時の舞台裏の私たちがたぶんその感じがありませんでした。私たちは時々現在の気持ちを気づきすきますかな。

Images ended two weeks ago, but it feels like it just ended.

On the day of performance, because I was so busy, I became more nervous. In the morning, we had a dress rehearsal. After that, I was really hungry, and Mizu Sushi was close, so I went to mizu for lunch. After about three hours, we went to Knickerbocker together. Because I practiced the Japanese dance lots, so I was confident of it. However, the Chinese song was hard, so we even had a last-minute practice right before the official performance. When the K-pop group performed, everyone at backstage was dancing and waving their hands. It looked like a live concert. It was so fun.

On that day, I went through so many emotional stages like nervousness, happiness, etc. All the feelings made the day special. But, we probably did not feel that way at backstage.  Do we sometimes pay too much attention on our present feelings?

感謝祭

　先週の木曜日はアメリカで感謝祭でした。毎年、私の家族はお祖母さんとお祖父さんの家に行って感謝祭を祝います。今年、私のいとことおじさんとおばさんは祖父母の家に来ました。

　私の家族はボードゲームとカードゲームするのが好きなので、たくさんゲームをしました。私は二人いとことおじさんとお姉さんとモノポリーというゲームをしました。今年、私は初めてモノポリーをかちました。私のお姉さんとお祖父さんはたいていかちます。

　私のお母さんとお祖母さんは食べ物を作りました。ターキーやハムやコンキャセロールを作りました。私のお母さんとお祖母さんは料理をするのが上手なので、いつも美味しい晩ご飯を作ります。

先週の土曜日は私のいとこの娘の初めて誕生日でした。彼女の名前はアラナ。私は両親とアラナの誕生日パーティーに行きました。アラナは誕生日のケーキを食べてから泣きましたが、とても可愛かったです。

In America, Last week’s Thursday was Thanksgiving. Every year my family goes to my grandma and grandpa’s house to celebrate Thanksgiving. This year, my cousins, uncle, and aunt came to my grandparents’ house.

            Since, my family likes to play board games and card games, we played a lot of games. I played a game called Monopoly with two of my cousins, my uncle, and my older sister. I won monopoly for the first time this year. Usually, my older sister or my uncle wins.

            My mom and grandma made food. They made turkey, ham, corn casserole, etc. My mom and grandma are good at cooking, so they always make delicious food.

            Saturday last week was my cousin’s daughter’s first birthday. Her name is Alana. I went with my parents to Alana’s first birthday party. Alana cried after she ate her cake, but she was very cute.
