Only a year and a half left till graduation!
Today I just sent in my resume to a recruitment agency for a part time job, however from what I heard from the agent so far, the pays going to be really pathetic like 7SGD per hour in banking industry part time?
Come on man, I got to support myself, I got to settle 6k SGD + tuition fees per semester. How can I even survive on 7SGD per hour... I'm not sure if the recruitment agency is "eaating" up a lot of the pay or it's just so damn low.
Total will be like $1290SGD for an undergraduate pay with working experience even though it's not in the relevant field and plus two years of NS which will never be considered as working experience because what the heck, everyone knows NS is not a single bit useful unless you plan to sign on. 2 years of life wasted. Period.
Sigh, I was hoping minimum 9 per hour at the very least. You know to be able to support myself and pay tuition fees. Can you imagine surviving on lets round up 1.3k a month. WTF right, and it's in SINGAFUCKINPORE man. High cost of living but wages fucking pathetic. And people wonder why we are still living with our parents when we are 20+ years old. Not going to go in depth about the cost of housing and rental as info can be found online.
I guess I have to work extremely hard to pass my grade 8 in order to get a job as a music teacher. Atleast they get paid 20SGD per hour teaching in school and 50SGD at least for private students. Who says you can't make a living out of being a musician.
Question is now, I should I use the money earned to backpack Japan for 2 weeks or invest in pedals and other guitar stuffs, not forgetting grade 8 fees is over 400+...
