「ア・ストレンジャー・イン・パラダイス（A Stranger In Paradise）」
コルトーナは、人口22,583人の小さな町ですが、映画「ライフ・イズ・ビューティフル」、「トスカーナの休日」の舞台としても知られています。
アンドレは、ある年家族と友人たちと共に休暇でこの町を訪れ、すっかり気に入ってしまい、コンサートを開くことを決めたようです。
さて、この曲の原曲はロシアの作曲家ボロディンの歌劇「イーゴリ公」の「韃靼人の踊り」。それがアメリカのミュージカル「キスメット」の中に取り入れられ「ア・ストレンジャー・イン・パラダイス」となりました。
今日は、アンドレの演奏のほかに、イギリスの歌姫サラ・ブライトマンの歌唱、それに1955年の映画「キスメット」の一場面をアップしてみました。
