Changi Prison Entrance Gate and Wall: The double-leafed steel entrance gate, a 180m stretch of prison perimeter wall that was more than 6m tall, and two corner turrets were chosen as they had been preserved when the prison moved to a new complex nearby in 2004. Changi Prison, designed by the Public Works Department as a maximum security prison, was completed in 1936 before becoming operational on Jan 4, 1937.
