2011 NFL Week 13 Predictions and Picks
It's time to make my 2011 NFL week 13 predictions and picks. There is one Thursday game on the schedule but it probably won't be a game of any playoff implications. Philadelphia, fresh off a horrible loss against New England, will face 4 7 Seattle. Who will win this not so pivotal match up?
I want to go with Philadelphia on the road but my gut just says the Seahawks will continue to add to the Eagles misery. In a close game, Seattle wins 23 21. Carolina visits Tampa Bay in another game where two teams are most likely out of the playoff hunt. Cam Newton wants to keep the momentum going after a win in Indy this past Sunday. Will the Cam Newton show prevail? I think the Panthers are set for a close cheap nfl jerseys battle with the Bucs but in the end I think Tampa wins at home 24 21.
My 2011 NFL week 13 predictions and picks continue with Cincy at Pittsburgh. Can the Bengals win another close game? The Steelers edged Kansas City on Sunday night while Cincinnati edged rival Cleveland. Both are in contention for the division title so this game could be huge. Who will win? I have to go with the Steelers since they are at home. Pittsburgh gets 2 touchdown passes from Big Ben in a 26 23 win.
Atlanta travels to Houston for what could be a huge matchup on the schedule. Who plays quarterback for the Texans? That's a good question. I still think the Texans rushing game is good enough to stay competitive but I'm going with the upset here Falcons win 27 21. Matt Ryan tosses 2 touchdown passes in the win.
The New York Jets travel to Washington for what could be a huge game if the Jets want to make the playoffs. Sanchez is coming off a huge game but I think the Jets quarterback will have a rougher time in Washington. The Jets playoff run gets derailed with a 24 16 loss on the road.
Indianapolis travels to New England in what could be the biggest underdog scenario in recent memory. This is typically a great game between two solid teams. Not this year. The Pats pad the stats with a 38 6 victory over the awful Colts.
Oakland is on the road in Miami to face the Dolphins. This game could be pivotal for the Raiders but the Dolphins have won three of their last four. I think the Raiders can win here but I don't think it's truly going to happen. Oakland just has to many mysteries on offense and they fall 27 17.
The Tim Tebow show goes on the road to Minnesota. Denver is rolling of late and a win over the Vikings would be pretty important down the stretch. I think Tim Tebow is going to run into all sorts of problems against the Vikings secondary and will get picked off 3 times. The Vikings get 2 Christian Ponder touchdown passes and win 27 14.
Tennessee heads to Buffalo to play a struggling Bills team. The Titans can further their playoff hopes with a win while the Bills are just trying to regain their identity. The Titans rack up more yardage on the ground this week with Chris Johnson and win going away 30 21.
Kansas City will visit Soldier Field on Sunday. Can the Chiefs beat the Bears without Jay Cutler? I think the Bears defense is good enough to swallow any chance of that. Bears dominate on defense and win 31 13. Caleb Haynie tosses 2 touchdown passes and Matt Forte runs for 2 more.
Baltimore is in Cleveland for what looks to be an easy win. It will be anything but. The Ravens struggle on the road and that will continue here. Still, I think Ray Rice gets 134 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 23 20 victory.
My 2011 NFL week 13 predictions and picks continue with Dallas at Arizona. The Cowboys are red hot but the Cardinals aren't doing too bad of late. Can Dallas shut down Beanie Wells? I think the answer is at least enough to win. Wells gets a touchdown but the Cowboys get a 27 21 road win.
Green Bay will visit the New York Giants in what could be the Packers biggest test of the year. Can the Giants slow down Aaron Rodgers? Absolutely not. wholesale jerseys Rodgers tosses 3 touchdown passes and the Packers win going away 34 23.
St. Louis travels to San Francisco to face an angry 49'ers team. The Rams are in big trouble before they step foot of the plane and lose 33 10.
Detroit goes to New Orleans to face the Saints. The Lions are suddenly struggling and this game could be huge if they want to make the postseason. The Saints will rely on the arm of Drew Brees for 279 yards and 3 touchdowns and will win 30 20.
The final game on Monday night of the NFL week 13 schedule features San Diego at Jacksonville.
The Jags are tough at home and the Chargers are reeling. This one could be a coin flip but I truly look for Maurice Jones Drew to shine on Monday night in prime time. Jones Drew gets 135 yards and two scores and the Jags win an ugly one 22 19.
