wikipediaによると、「プータロー」とは就労可能な年齢等にありながら無職でいるものの俗称。
according to wikipedia, "poo-taro" is commonly used name for who doesn't work even they are over the age that permitted to work.

建設労働者のことを「風太郎」ということからの派生とも云われているが、語源はよくわかっていない。
it's also said that is derivative from "hoo-taro" , who are construction workers,but the etymology hasn't been soloved yet.

…「風太郎」って寒太郎、おしくないか？

hoo-taro...it's so close, isn't it ?? (hoo means kaze=wind. kantaro=kantaro of northern wind.)

正式には「親の光は七光」。
Officially, " Parent's light are seven light".

「七光」は、三省堂「大辞林第二版」によると「七は大きな数として使う」と出ています。
according to "Daijirin 2nd ver. by sanseido", seven means a big number.

要するに「大きな・偉大な」という意味で使われただけで、七つ何か意味があるというのではないようです。
in short, seven is used just as big, it does't have seven meanings.

Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival Is Called Off

On 22nd, it's deciede that Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival, brings us the feeling of summer, is called off this year. Chuo ward hosts the festival made the suspension public, they say that they should consider the situation of the disaster area of Western Japan Earthquake.
The 24th festival was scheduled to be took place in August 13th.
Suspention is 2nd time since it was called off because of the gale. (Nikkan Sports)
