The iPlayer team have today announced that due to popular request they are currently developing a future firmware that will incorporate support for external subtitle files such as .SRT.
Not only will you be able to customise the font size, colour and more, they assure us that the font used is designed specifically for the DS screen to make for pixel-perfect reading.

AVIについては、DivXやXviDも対応してるとのこと。解像度が限られているのでPC向けの高画質動画をそのまま見られるというわけにはいきませんが、DSでこれだけの動画形式が再生できるとはかなりすごいですね。
ただ、DSiで起動できるとのことなので、やっぱり市販ゲームのコードを使ってるのかなあ??？
ハードウェアデコーダーを搭載するなど、純粋なメディアプレイヤーとしてかなり気合の入った製品だと感じていたので、もしそうだとしたらちょっと残念。
さまざまなフォメットビのビデオや音楽などメディアを再生として目的のiplayer、開発はいよいよ終了です。tgbus.comからのニュース によれば、iPlayerは７月１日に発売と決定します。一方で、 iPlayer中国の公式サイトが開設されると予定です（英語の公式サイトが既 に開設されました： http://dsiplayer.com ）。
