said. "And it's fairly simple."

mechanic, that is.
Wilson said he decided to build a sustainable home
using his experience and expertise as a former mechanic and repairman.
"It gives you a mechanical background so you can design things that will
work in your particular application," he said, "to achieve what I want to
achieve."
Wilson chose Steve Graham to manage the house's construction.
Graham built several other similar homes prior to working on Wilson's. He said
he has experience building environmentally friendly homes at a relatively low
cost.
"You see more sustainable homes being built," he said. "[Wilson's]
ideas are good ideas I think. Looking out, looking ahead."
Wilson said
that when he's finished, he might never have to pay utilities ever again.
