“Ti Amo” is a romantic song about the tragedy of unreciprocated love and desire"Ti Amo"は、報われない愛と欲望の悲劇を歌った恋愛ソングです。
"Love you! Ti amo! Je t'aime ! ¡Te quiero!"は、順に英語、イタリア語、フランス語、スペイン語で「愛してる」の意。
サビの"Don't tell me no"は、ルチオ・バッティスティの"Il tempo di morire"の歌詞にある"Non dire no"という言い回しを英訳したもので、この箇所についてPhoenixのボーカル・作詞のThomas Marsは次のように説明している。
I mean, when you say ‘Don’t tell me no’, you know the guy has already lost. That’s what I like.「嫌だなんて言わないでよ」って言った時点で、男はもう勝負に負けてますよね。でもそれが好きなんですよ。
