Welcome to a laptop battery specialist of the dell laptop battery
The Dell Inspiron 1150 is a good upgrade from the older 1100 series unit, but it still could use some additional features to help it compete better with newer models from other companies.
The Dell Inspiron 1150 is a minor update to the previous 1100 series notebook, but it lacks many significant changes. This doesn't make it a bad system, but it does set it behind a few of its competitors who have a bit more to offer.
Powering the Inspiron 1150 is an updated Intel Celeron 2.6GHz with battery like dell Inspiron 13R battery , Dell Inspiron 14R Battery , Dell Inspiron 15R Battery , Dell Inspiron 17R Battery , Dell Inspiron M501 Battery , Dell Inspiron N3010 Battery , Dell Inspiron N4010 Battery , Dell Inspiron N5010 Battery , Dell Inspiron N7010 Battery , Dell 312-0233 Battery , Dell 965Y7 Battery , Dell 9T48V Battery processor. It isn't the fastest model available, but the speed difference is not very much. It is matched up with 256MB of PC2100 DDR memory that is enough to run most Internet and office applications.
Storage comes with a 24x CD-RW Combo optical drive, although those who may need to save a few dollars can opt for an 8x DVD-ROM drive instead. Base storage is a 20GB hard drive, but most configurations feature a 30GB hard drive.
An area that is a disappointment is in the connectivity. 802.11b wireless still remains an option on the system rather than being a standard item. Similarly, the system features a lesser known but functional Corel Productivity Pack over the more commen MS Works 7.0 suite.
One of the big advantages of the Dell systems is the custom configuration options. This gives the Inspiron 1150 a wide range of options to fit most all budgets. This is also one of its biggest weaknesses as it requires users to watch for configuration changes and special offers to ensure a system that is under the $1000 price.
