ready to bring the fight to GoPro

Welcome to a Laptop AC Adapter specialist of the Led Video Camera Light

nally, I could care less about the "style" of a camera - it's not a fashion accessory. The GoPro Hero3 Black edition is the same price, and beats it in all the specs. It'll do 1080p at 60fps and 720p at 120fps. It too includes a remote, and WiFI for a phone app that is already released... oh, and it's waterproof to 197 feet, instead of - what does this camera do - oh yeah, a whopping 9 feet. Way to raise the bar, Drift HD...

Drift HD Ghost has a 2" LCD screen included, GoPro sting you an extra $80 for that. I've used both brands and would take a Drift any day of the week. I'm not a professional videographer so I don't need fancy tech specs, I need a camera that is easy to use. Features like the longer life battery, compact design and loop recording are more important to every day users. Oh, and Drift have a waterproof housing for their camera that is waterproof to 197 feet as well, but you don't have to use it all the time because the camera is inherently waterproof, unlike the cheap plastic GoPro which gets destroyed if you use it outside of the waterproof housing.

I'll concede the better battery like RYOBI HILTI SFB 126 Battery, RYOBI Milwaukee PSH 18 Battery, Bosch Battery, Bosch BAT159 Battery, Dewalt Battery, Dewalt DE9096 Battery, HITACHI Battery, HITACHI FEB 9S Battery, Makita Battery, Makita 6908D Battery, Panasonic Battery, Panasonic EY9182 Battery, Black Decker Cordless Drill Battery, Black Decker FSB18 Battery life of the Drift, though... you can buy separately a larger capacity battery for the GoPro, but still - GoPro loses that round, as the battery life of the Drift is impressive.

The new Hero 3 is much smaller than previous generations, though, and dimensionally is on par with the Drift. Not to mention, it's about 40% lighter - 2.6 ounces (73.7 grams) for the GoPro vs. 125 grams for the Drift.

I have used the drift camera and the gopro and there is really no comparison between the two. now with the hero 3 this camera was outdated before it even hits the shelves

I have the previous generation Drift (170HD) and it's fantastic. No lens shake and it doesn't make you look like a toolbag (like the GoPro) when you mount it on your bike or helmet. The only complaint I have is the fisheye lens. I wouldn't mind having a narrower field of vision and a normal lens.
