"Farther Up the Road" or "Further on Up the Road" is a blues song first recorded in 1957 by Bobby "Blue" Bland. The song became a #1 hit the same year in the Billboard R&B chart as well as reaching #43 in the Billboard pop chart.[2] Since the original hit, "Farther Up the Road" has been performed and recorded by numerous blues and other artists, including Eric Clapton, who has made it part of his repertoire.

また逢う日まで鞄の中身が変わった。・・・窓派から林檎派への転向？
iPad2 導入以降、鞄の中身がガラッと変わってしまいました。
Thinkpadの姿がありません。
２０年近くの付き合いだから一緒にいないと心細いことこのうえない。
でも、家や会社では、やっぱり Thinkpad ということになるんですけどね。
代わりを務めてくれるのが、Macbook Air 13inc ということになります。
もともとThikpad を使っていたのは、機体の特にキーボードの精度の高さそれと、トラックポイントというポインティングデバイスの使いやすさ故なんですよ。下の写真の真ん中の赤いポッチだ。
これのおかげで、キーボードのホームポジションから指を動かさずにカーソルの操作ができるんだ。
むかしからこの機械に対する愛着があった。でも、Lenovo に移ってからは、そういうこだわりというものが少し希薄になってきているのではないかと危惧しているところだったんだよ。
いっぽう、今の MacBook には、そういうこだわりが感じられます。とにかく、隅々にまでこだわりを持って作られていることが伝わるいい機械です。
一番の驚きはこの実装だ。なんなんだこれは。(￣□￣;)!!
ユーザーの解体を許さないのに中身まで見せることにこだわったとしか思えない。・・見事だ。
・・・といってもほとんど電池なんだけど・・・。
そして極めつけがこれだ。
Unibodyと呼ばれるこの筐体は、プレスされたものではない。アルミの厚板を削りだしたものなんだ。これにはおそれいった。
多分、足の上に角から落とすと骨折するよ。
それくらいの剛性感がある。
１３インチの平面があるんだけど、フタ部の真ん中でさえ押してもたわむ気配がない。
こんなに頑丈そうな機体を見たのは初めてだ。
折りたたんだときの本体と液晶面とのラッチなどもない。
そして、最終的に、重量を1.32 kg に押さえきっている。・・・ほんと見事だと思う。
ここまで拘れるのは、トップの製品に対する思い入れ故なんだろうね。凄いわ。
ここまのものなら、少々不自由があっても・・というか・・・
Windows一色のビジネスの世界ではとっても使いにくいものであっても使ってみようか・・・
ということになった次第です。
悔しいのは、なぜ日本のメーカーに、Thikpad もそうなんだけど、こういう製品が作れないのかということだね。
なんか思いの伝わる製品が少ないんだ。
仕事でメインで使うのはiPhone と iPad2ということになるね。Air は、あくまで控え選手という感じだ。
iPad とAir の使い心地は、打てば響くという感じだ。
開けばすぐ仕事にかかれるところがとてもいい。
Windows7 も起動、再開が速くなったとはいえ、この2台にはとうていかなわない。
あとは、Airの256の SSD では、心許ないので、外付けの500GHDD。
各ガジェット共通で使うWIMAXの端末。
Windows使いにとってさすがに、ひとつボタンは使いにくいのでMicrosoftのマウス。
WalkmanとiPod Classic160G とSonyのイヤホンMDR-EX600というのが鞄の中身になりました。
これだけ入れて、もういっぱいという感じです。これくらいなら今までのThinpadT410を持ち歩いているより少し身軽になったという感じです。
ここ読んで、Air が欲しくなった人がいてもすぐ買っちゃダメですよ。
７月中にでる新ＯＳと同時に新型が発売されるって噂がありますから・・・。
