I've been riding to work almost everyday for about a month and half now. I'm loving it. I feel stronger and I can control my breathing better when I am riding. Thanks to the hilly California terrain, I think I could probably concur pretty much anywhere in Ibaraki now. I can't wait to go back to Japan and ride!

Here is a better picture of my new bike. I love it. Sram system is working better than I thought; however, I think I still prefer the Shimano system with the separate lever for the up and down shifting.

Took a 17.19 mile ride today in a beautiful sunny day. I went out around 11:30 and it was getting really hot; however, I got my Pearl Izumi gears to keep me safe from the sun.
After all, it took me about a little bit longer than an hour to finish the ride. I feel really good and I think I will take the route again next time.
Here are some pictures to share!

I gotta admit that riding in United States is much easier than the Japan because of the dedicated bike lane on the major roads.
I've found the Japanese drivers are much more aware the situation on the road and they will leave some distance between you and the car, even if it means driving onto the other side of the traffic. People drive much faster here in US but the wider road allow the car and the cyclist to maintain the safe distance. I enjoy riding in US right now since there are so many rider like me out there on the road. I hardly see anyone ride road bikes in Ibaraki. Hopefully someday I will meet someone to ride with me in Japan.

Wow, How long has it been since the last time I rode?
I think it has been two months.
Just bought a used Cannondale CAAD 9 bike off someone on the internet.
It is a nice bike but suffering a little bit cosmetic issues.
It rides much better than my Giant SCR for sure and I am very looking forward to ride this to work everyday. I miss all the scenery when riding in Japan though. In US, it is a bit more technical since we got lots of hills in San Diego.

Anyway, looking forward to get back to the blog since I am riding again.
Will post a detail pictures of the bike soon!
Here is the sneak peak~

Once in the blue moon, mistake happens. I'm sure everyone makes mistake at work. Some might be just minor things and others, unfortunately, could be live or death situation. For us? It is not so bad depending on the seriousness of the mistake. It could cost us the whole order, or it could be overlooked by the customer.

The situation I wanted to present today is kind of in the middle. Part of the reason is that this mistake only happened to the small quantity of the order. So lucky for us, we just need to replace the defect shorts. Customer satisfaction is number one, right?

We did this order last year and got this image back from the customer. How embarrassing!!!
It is suppose to be "i"ronman. Somehow the artist forgot to put the "i" there and this went through the whole production floor without being noticed.

It has been quite a while since this kind of thing happens. I am glad the artist is getting more experience and having their act together.
until next time.......
The weather was decent enough to go out to have a ride today. The sun was out and warm up the air during the lunch time; however, it got blocked by the clouds by the time I am getting ready to ride. I knew I wanted to ride far but I didn't really have any destination in mind. I decided to go north and just to see how far I could go with my body condition (I haven't be able to ride due to the cold weather).

Surprisingly, I made all the way to Kashianada Seaside Park. I love that place. It has some big open grass field for kids to run around without bumping into people or objects. Once my daughter is getting older, I will definitely take her there for some fun time.

Total ride was 43km and took me about an hour and 40 min. Ave speed was 25km/hr. It was good ride coming back from the park along the route 51. Mostly down hill with few long but not hilly uphills. I'd do it again!
