読書

先日ヤフーのUK＆アイルランドのサイトをチェックしていて、ドリアングレイの映画 がUKで上映しているのを発見しました。この映画の原作はオスカー・ワイルドのドリアングレイの肖像です。私がこの本を初めて読んだのは大学生のとき。すごく衝撃を受けました。どう説明していいか分かりませんが、自分の倫理基準が覆された感じがしました。そして何が正しくて何が間違っているのか、どうやって善悪を判断するのかということを考えはじめました。この本は間違いなく、考えさせられる本です

偶然にもこの本を2週間前に購入しました。なんとなく読みたいなと思ったので・・・私が買ったのはリサイクルペーパーの文庫本で、たったのRM8.5（約219円）まだ読み始めていませんが、近いうちに読むつもりです。

ところで、オスカー・ワイルドは劇作家、詩人、短編小説家です。もっと彼のことを知りたい方はこちら （英語版ですが・・・）私が好きな作品は子供のために書かれたといわれるもので、皆さんも知っているかと思われる、「幸福な王子」です。もうひとつのお気に入りは「漁師とその魂」です。（訳があっているかしら？）

日本では読書の秋と言いますが、私はそうですね。マレーシアの気候は日本の秋のようではありませんが、読書にはまっています。今私が読んでいるのはチャールズ・ディキンズの「クリスマス・キャロル」です。分からない単語がいっぱいありますが、読むということに重点を置いています。ストーリーの情景がなんとなく見えれば（予想できれば）それでOKと思って読んでます。この本を読まれたことはありますかクリスマス前に読むのにベストな本だと思いますよ

I was checking Yahoo UK & Ireland and found that Dorian Gray film is showing cinemas in UK. I think this film is based on “The picture of Dorian Gray” which was written by Oscar Wild. I read this novel first time when I was university student and I was so shocked. I don’t know how to explain but I felt that my ethical norm was reversed. I just start to wonder what is right and wrong as well as how we can judge right or wrong. This book is definitely thought-provoking book. Coincidentally,I’ve bought this book 2 weeks ago because I just feel like reading it. I bought a paperback used recycled paper which cost only RM8.5 (£1.56)! I haven’t started but I’m going to read it soon.

By the way, Oscar Wilde is playwright, poet and short story writer. If you want to know more about him please click here . I like the one he wrote for children and I guess most people know “The Happy prince.”  Another favourite of mine is “The Fisherman and His Soul.”

We,Japanese say autumn for reading and I’m certainly is! Actually the weather here isn’t like autumn in Japan but I enjoy reading these days. Actually I’m reading Christmas Carol written by Charles Dickens. There are many words I don’t know but I just focus on reading. At least I can imagine (or guess) the scenery in the story then OK. Have you ever read this story? I think it would be an ideal book to read before Christmas!

ムーンフェスティバル

今年のムーンフェスティバル（中秋節）は10月3日です。Wikipedia によると、ムーンフェスティバルはチャイニーズカレンダー（旧暦）の8ヶ月目の15日に行われるんだそうです。この日に、マレーシアの中国人の人たちは家族で夕食を一緒にしたりする人もいて、その食事のあとムーンケーキ（月餅）を食べるようです。子供達はちょうちんをともして遊びます。なのでムーンケーキ売り場にはちょうちんも売っていたりします。

私はムーンケーキ好きですこれまで食べた中で一番おいしかったのは栗ペーストの餅入りムーンケーキ。和菓子みたいな感じが好きです。日本人の人は気に入る味だと思います。この餅入りのを食べてしまって、もっと買おうとお店に行ったら売り切れてましたこれがその貴重な餅入りムーンケーキです

ところで、伝統的なムーンケーキは卵黄入りのものなんです。でも私はこの塩味な卵黄が甘いペーストの中に入っているのが苦手です。すべて塩からいか、すべて甘いほうがいいです。でもティラミスとかチョコレート味のムーンケーキはすきです。

ムーンケーキは実は結構高くて、1個RM10位（約260円）します。おいしいケーキと同じくらいの値段なので、ムーンケーキを買おうかどうか時々考えてしまいます。でもムーンフェスティバルは年に一度なのでムーンケーキを帰る期間も限られるので、ついつい誘惑に負けて買ってしまいます

<Moon cake >

It falls on 3 October for moon festival this year. According to Wikipedia , Moon festival is on the 15 th of the eight month in the Chinese calendar (Lunar calendar). On this day, some Chinese people (in Malaysia) get together and have family dinner then they will eat moon cake. Meanwhile, children play with lantern so some shops sell lantern with moon cake.

I love moon cake and my best moon cake so far is this. Chestnuts paste moon cake with Mochi filling. I love this moon cake because it tastes like Japanese sweets. I think many Japanese like this. I finished this one and want to buy more but it had sold out already! This is the “precious” Mochi filling moon cake.

By the way, traditional moon cake is egg yolk inside but it’s not my cup of tea because salty egg inside of sweet moon cake paste. I prefer all salty or sweet.However, I like other type of moon cake like tiramisu or chocolate or cheesecake flavour.

Moon cake is actually quite expensive and the price is about RM10（1.81pound) for one. I can buy a nice cake so I sometimes think twice whether I buy a cake or moon cake. However,moon festival is once a year so I can buy moon cake only limited time then I can’t resist the temptation to buy it.

改築の騒音

今朝はうちの上の階の人が改築をしていました。ドリルの音や金槌の音がしてうるさかったです。子供達は音に怖がってくっついてきました。

マレーシアで家やマンションを買うと、キッチンキャビネットやワードローブは自分達で取り付けなければなりません。なので、私のマンションでは改築の騒音をよく耳にしますしかも、こっちの人って改築を一度にせず少しずつやるんですよ一度に大金を使いたくないのかもしれませんが、この結果、常にマンションのどこかで改築が行われているような感じです。

すっごいイライラします

<Renovation noise >

This morning, people who live upstairs were renovating their unit. It was quite noisy because of drilling or hammering noises. My children scared of the noise and clung to me.

It needs to be installed kitchen cabinet or cupboard by yourself if you buy a house or condominium in Malaysia. Therefore, I often hear somebody is renovating in my condominium. Also they don’t do all the renovation at once and do it step by step. Maybe people don’t want to spend big amount of money. As a result of this, it seems like there is always under renovation somewhere in my condominium.

I really annoyed this!!
