Today, I will introduce the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto. Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto is a World Heritage Site of UNESCO made from such as temples and shrines in Kyoto, Uji City, in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture. It was registered as a World Heritage Site of 5 Items in Japan in 1994. The famous among them is the Ginkaku and Temple of the Golden Pavilion. Kinkaku which is affixed a gold leaf is in perfect harmony with Kagamimizuumi-chi. It is famous as the building that represents the Kitayama culture.
When I went to Kyoto school trip in elementary school, I saw the Ginkaku and Temple of the Golden Pavilion. I was fascinated to Kinkakuji because building was painted with gold leaf. On the other hand, I received a modest impression on Ginkakuji because it looked like a wooden house just.
The various events are being carried out in the Temple of the Golden Pavilion, Ginkaku. For example, Illumination, Contact Susuharai, All there Kobo, Joyanokane.
