Vocab (season1 episode1~) 

-gunning for something : Go after in earnest, try hard to obtain. For example, He's been gunning for a raise all year. [ Slang; mid-1900s]

-Kleptomania : is the inability to resist the urge to steal items, usually for reasons other than personal use or financial gain

-coroner : an official who examines the reasons for a person's death, especially if it was violent or unexpected

-emancipated

1. free from legal, social, or political restrictions; liberated.

   "emancipated young women"

(it also can mean "Emancipitation" like as in US history The Emancipation Proclamation, made by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863, freed slaves in the southern American states during the US Civil War.)

but here i assume it's talking about JohnB's dad missing and presumed dead, so this official worker calling him "emancipitated young worker living on his own".

-Derelict : 

a person without a home, job, or property.

"derelicts who could fit all their possessions in a paper bag"

-poach : 

to catch and kill animals without permission on someone else's land:

The farmer claimed that he shot the men because they were poaching on his land. 

Sara says "maybe someone who doesn't poach?" after John B tells her maybe she should get a better boyfriend.

-burly: (of a person) large and strong; heavily built.

"I saw a burly figure approaching"

-lode : 

1. a vein of metal ore in the earth.

   "the tin oxide was very thinly scattered within the lode"

   • a rich source of something.

     "a rich lode of scandal and alleged crime"

The sniper guy who shot at the 4 kids (johnB, Sarah, Kiara, JJ) and the guy who entered Mr Lana's house and threatened her says "the mother lode...." when he grabbed the map.
