Today, I went to Keio Mita campus to watch one of the best All Japan Intercollegiate English speech contests in Japan. This speech contest is held by Keio ESS which is the club to learn English by making speeches ,discussing, and debating. I also belonged to ESS in my university, that's why I went there today.
First of all,you may ask what is speech? Well,standard speech of ESS is that speaker chose topic which he/she are interested in and express their thoughts and feelings about that topics toward audiendces. Of course they deliver speeches by English. The most standard constuction of the speech is called PHCS(Problem,Harm,Cause,Suggestion)style. It's easy to construct your idea by using this style. Today,10 speakers which passed the elimination delivered their speeches to audiences. There are variety of topics such as sexual crimes,sign language,bullings,citizen judge system and etc. I'll write the detail later on in Japanese,so please read it.
Here I pick up this for "Today's Happiness,"because I could listen to 10 people's passionate and constructed opinion about variety of topics. I guess it's rare to listen to those presious opinions. I really enjoyed their speeches,so i appreciate the speakers. If you interested in the speech,I'll give you information about the speech contest which are going to hold in next few months. Cause right now is the "Speech Season"in the year!!
