Ubiquitous Computing: A Primer 

 

(Summary)

Ubiquitous computing (ubicomp) is an ideal society where everything is connected to each other invisibly with nonwireless. It has some features and is composed of the current technologies.

 Furthermore, it is started to be used for various rigions. For a start, it contributes to education as an online course like MOOCs. Subsequently, Ubicomp is used as the commercial information system in commerce area. Also, in health, it finds its own way to collect heal information. Likewise, it can make home smarter and more comfortable.

In general, the advantages of ubicomp are invisibility, socialisation, decision-making, and multimedia.

On the other hand, the idea has drawbacks too. First one is the unsuitability of a certain type of conventional technology. Also, privacy is one of the problems; however, it is defined, depending on culture and era.

To sum up, ubiquitous computing is changing our daily life little by little.

 

(Opinion)

Ubiquitous computing must be useful and have a profound effect on the world to make more convenience. Whereas, it has also negative points as it was stated before. Privacy is a problem and the interpretation of it in this paper is splendid; to put it another way, it is changeable up to the condition of the society including culture and era. But it seems to take a long time to do it like the acceptance of understanding LGBT.
