Do you know rice pudding? It is a common dessert of British, made feom boild rice with milk and sugger. And there are similar things all over the world, but not in Japan. I mean there is, but only few people likes it.

Japanese eat rice as staple food, but we just boil rice with water and usually eat with solty food. Putting sugar is weird for us.
When I had opportunity to have dinner with an Australian, she gave me rice pudding and said "You eat rice all the time, you must like rice pudding too." But I didn't know what rice pudding is, and she gave me 2 litter of it after dinner. I appreciated her kindness, but I could eat only one scoop of it, and I throwed away the leftover. Please don't assume that we like rice pudding because we eat rice.
