My visit to Brooklyn Brewery was the highlight of my Spring Break trip to New York City!
It was a Friday night – a busy night for the brewery – so I got there early after killing time at Dziupla, an awesome Polish bar a few blocks away. Before joining the line outside the tasting room and waiting for the doors to open, I admired the art on the side of the brewery.
Sorachi Ace, a strong Farmhouse Saison (7.2%). According to Brooklyn Brewery, Sorachi Ace is sunshine in a glass, a shining example of the versatility of one of the world’s most intriguing hops.
My Brooklyn beer sampling didn’t stop at the brewery. There was a Duane Reade right across the street from my hotel where I could pick up six-packs for the room including Brooklyn Pilsner, Brooklyn Lager, and Insulated Dark Lager (a Brooklyn seasonal that was my favorite of the three).
