3.11: An unforgettable natural disaster in Japan.
This is not someone else's problem for you all. 15 years ago. Just recently, a tsunami advisory was issued in Honolulu, and I witnessed traffic congestion. This act is a highway to death. A 49.21-foot tsunami arrived one hour after the earthquake. The power was such that even a giant tanker moored at the quay was swept far inland, from Waikīkī Beach to the vicinity of the highway. Also, in the Waikiki area, there are many soft-story buildings. In a tsunami of this scale, buildings will inevitably collapse. It is not someone else's problem. Please be prepared at all times. I urge you all to take this opportunity to conduct a simulation once again. Specifically, avoid using cars and seek the highest ground possible immediately, as buildings may be at risk of structural failure. Embrace the spirit of "Tendenko": take immediate action and head for high ground the moment you feel a long or strong tremor, without waiting for an official warning.
