THE POOR HEART OF THE PRISONER -4ページ目

LOVE, PEACE, JUSTICE, and CARE

I didn't know that there is a person who has been pursuing LOVE, PEACE, JUSTICE and CARE and practicing them for more than 20 years.

He always wears like a clown and offers people who are in poor situation laughter and comfort.

I listened to his lecture in English, refusing to get a gadget for simultaneous interpretatipn. Although I could understand only 60-70% of what he said, I really enjoyed his funny talk and enthusiastic effort that he has been engaging in for a long time.

I thought he was great and I had a lot to learn from him.

LIE TO ME ETERNALLY

You, lie to me eternally

Do not show secrets to me

Keep telling me your lie

Tell me everything was due to love

Lie to me instead of eternal farewell

And disgusting facts

  Lie to me eternally

Laugh and say

"I have no one I should have not met"

Takuro had been a controversial person especially when he was young. But I really had adored him because I had a strong policy. I can't explain how and what it was. But he had really influenced me in everything.

Now he is a bit old and becomes less edgy. But I still adore him. I expect him to keep being cool for me forever. So I want him to keep telling a lie. I want him to lie to me eternally.

TELL ME YOUR ETERNAL LIE

Takuro1
I am now watching a music TV program recorded last year.

This is not my first time to watch it.

Its title is "Takuro&Kaguyahime in Tsumagoi2006".

Since I was inspired by Takuro's appearance in Japan's music scene many years ago, I started playing the guitar and I got aware of what real music was for me. He added his strong opinions to his lyrics and sang them with his real intention. I really liked his stance.

Then I started to listen to Kaguyahime's songs. They had no such special intention in their music but I especially liked Shoyan's somewhat cool way of singing and his lyrics.

They held a legendary joint concert 31 years ago at just the same place as the one in 2006.

I know most of Takuro's songs but one song which was unfamiliar to me was heard while I was watching the program. The title was "TELL ME YOUR ETERNAL LIE". And the words and music were written by Miyuki Nakajima.

At first Takuro started to sing alone. But after a while Miyuki appeared on the stage and sang together with Takuro at the end.

I was so touched by the song. I can't explain its reason right now. But something of the song moved me.

"Tel me your eternal lie" means "Keep telling your lie forever."

I really looked up to Takuro because of his attitude against "Society" or "Authority". And I hope he will keep his attitude forever even if he had already changed his opinion toward them. I'd like him to tell his lie forever. I don't want him to destroy my dream for him.

I just want him to be my hero from now on too.

Now he is singing his last song of this concert "Until today and from tomorrow".

DAYS AT UBC IN VANCOUVER15

How cool!

One day while I was walking toward the bus stop downtown, I saw the guy.

As you can easily recognize, he is singing a song with his guitar.

I stopped for a while and watched him singing. He was a little old but his way of singing captured my heart. He was just singing a song

from the bottom of his heart.

Yes. He was my most favorite type of singer.

I thought he resembled Shogo or Takuro because he expressed his emotion or opinion with his songs. I strongly believe that songs should be like those.

DAYS AT UBC IN VANCOUVER14

Vancouver was well-known for its beauty and cleanliness.

But it was not really a beautiful city when I was there.

Garbage and trash were littered around the gabage can and trash bin set around the streets and avenues.

Look at the photo below.

This is a city library which was built after "Colosseum in Rome". You can see many people sitting on the stairs in front of the building. They are not tourists.

Among them you can recognize some people who hold a large white paper on their chest. It reads "ON STRIKE".

Yes.They are civic workers who work for the library.

Vancouver's civic workers' strike started on July 23 and is still going on. Garbage collection and city-run facilities

have been off for about 25 days. They are demending pay equity and job security from the city government.

However, it seems to be quite difficult for the both sides even to sit at the same tables.

The civic strike started on the next day when I arrived there. I wish they had chosen the other days for strike.

Vancouver must have been a more beautiful city than I actually saw.
