枝先に 半ば実となる 百日紅 揺らして去れる 風の暑きや

昨日我が家の周り歩く
この夏の暑きは格別なり
路の端に咲く百日紅の白き花は既に半ば実となりたり
なれど花を揺らし行く風は長月に入れどもいまだ暑し
I walked around my home yesterday.
The hotness of this summer is exceptional.
The crape myrtles blooming by the side of the road are already about half-full of nuts.
However, the wind rustling the flowers is still hot even though it is September.
