The
Olympics turned very much about number of the competitions and appearance than
old days, but I understood the fact that could not completely cut off what
international politics affected did not still change in old days either.
It is the Olympics aiming at the revival of the festival of the ancient peace, but the terrorist incident in 2 degrees World War and Munich meeting, the influence of the occasional international politics including East-West boycott battles with the Afghanistan war under the Cold War are big. Even the current Olympics were related to some extent, but influence on international politics was very big in old days. Olympics is popular in the world, but seemed to have possibilities to be boycotted in the past. As the cause, a factor of each state politics affected it. As the Olympics became gigantic, the increase of the financial burden became the big problem, and a state only in 1-2 cities seemed to have continued a candidate with the summer, the winter season. As having illustrated by the first page, more than 400 items, 33 competitions, and 51 classifications are included in Olympics program as of 2011. The competition that exists from first and continued being carried out is only 4 competitions of track and field, a swimming race, gymnastics, the fencing to date without being taken off. The popular sports that baseball or soccer was not accepted as a competition from a beginning, too.
