Nickason’s Road Runner has been picked by Meguiars Canada, a vehicle treatment feel supply organization, to take part in the Canada’s Best Car Crazy Competition. The Street Runner is a factory-built warm rod that Nickason has owned since the 1970s.
“I’m the last owner of the automobile. I got it from the pal who'd it for some years then he made a decision to get rid of it and I ended up with it. I think which was 1978. It has absolutely been repaired, down to the last nut and bolt.”
He said that, while he owns several other display vehicles – he won’t share how many other than to say “two or three more” – the Street Runner is actually Nickason’s favorite.
“Back in 1969 they built 85,000 Road Runners and they were voted car of the year (by Motor Trend Magazine) that year. Halfway through the entire year, they added this car out with an increase of power and a larger engine and they simply made 1,220 of these cars. So it is kind of a specialty vehicle... Nickason said there are 470 other Road Runners like his currently listed in the automotive world. Since he started entering the vehicle in shows since last August, numerous awards have been piled up by Nickason.
