The model setup for internal RF module is divided into six steps. The first step is to set the mode for taranis X9D. It should be set to corresponding mode, such as D8, D16 or LR12 mode for your receiver. The second step is to set the channel range. As the internal RF module supports totally 16 channels, the channel range is configurable and it needs to be double check before use.
The third step is to set the receiver number. When you create a new model, the system will give you a receiver number automatically which ranges from 00 to 63. 01 is the default receiver and 00 is not recommended here. Once the receiver is set to your required receiver number and finishes the binding procedure with frsky taranis X9D, the binding procedure will not need to be repeated next time, unless the receiver number is changed to another different number. At this kind of situation, you need to either set the receiver number to the previous one, or do the binding procedure again.
The fourth step is to bind. Bind refers to frsky taranis X9D binding mode. You should move the cursor bind, press ENTER button. The cursor will flash and the speaker will beep to remind you that the RF module has entered the bind mode, then put your receiver into binding mode and finish the bind procedure.
The fifth step is to set failsafe mode. There are three failsafe mode, no pulse, hold, custom. You should wait patiently for 9 seconds to let it take effects. The sixth step is to range. Range refers to taranis X9D range check mode. A pre-flight range check should be done before each flying session. You should move the cursor to range and press ENTER. After finishing these steps, you are done with the setup of the internal RF module.
