Google calendar Japanese version

Google released Google calendar Japanese verstion on September 19. All users who have the account of Google can use the service for free.

Google calendar is a service not only for the management of schedule but also for sharing the schedule with friends or other people. It's composed of Ajax. It is possible to write schedules on the calendar almost by intuition. More than one calendar can be created by one user, and the user can select the person who shares the schedule.

In addition, it is possible to take the events' imformation which is downloaded in the internet into the calendar. Some data format like iCal or CSV is available in the system, so the users can use the schedule written by other softwares on that.

Outdoor cooking

We laboratory's member tried to cook outdoor. The picture is a kettle to boil the rice. Almost all people cook the rice in a rice-cooker, and it was the easiest and most simple way. This challenge, which was a little troublesome and time-wasting way to cook, taught me to the importance of the everything which I use everyday in my home; electricity, gas and so on. I suffered pain from the smoke given by the firewood. I cried many times.

I saw such beautiful scene on the way of the hiking road. It's flower called soba; the soba berry is the ingredient of soba or buckwheat noodles. If I leave one or two kilometer from a city, I can see the white flower easily; however, I have never seen such the large field of soba. The wide and beautiful field fascinates me for some minutes. The soba berry will be a delicious noodles in this fall. I'm looking forward to eat buckwheat noodles in the season.

Sundial

I saw the sundial first time. The triangle object located on the center of a park can tell the time by the angle of the sun. The time when I took the picture was about 10:40. It seems to have a little difference between the real time and the time which is indicated by the sundial, but it is almost accurate as an non-mechanical system. I got an idea from the sundial for the future. Why don't we wear a watch equipped the sundial system; which may not only be environment-friendly, but also make people freely from the chain of time limit. The shaky watch must be useful for every Japanese who have forgotten the value of meaningless time.

The reptile

Can you see the creature which has a rest under the shade? I could meet with him on the way of the hiking road. I'm so exited because I never be able to see such the reptiles in everyday's life. As I approach to him, he became aware of something dangerous and escaped quickly. The reptiles moved so fast that it was difficult to catch the figure in the sight of my digital camera. He ran away from me, but he did not get out from the shade. He must be tired for the sunlight as we felt and annoying human.
