Cherry blossoms

I was amazed for beautiful cherry blossoms today. It was not full bloom yet, but it's very beautiful. Japanese enjoys "hanami", a party held under cherry trees, in this season. I am also looking forward to that. It is not enough hot to held the party out of doors, so I don't know when we can enjoy the blossoms.

Today is the day for the system manager's meeting. We debated on problems which our environment has, and we share the work. I updated the kernel of Linux because the access speed to disks was too slow. It was hard work but interesting.

Rain

It was rain today. I did not want to do anything. It was boring, but I had to go to the university to finish some works. I decided to wait for the rain to stop, and I played the guitar. Then I heard the big violent sound from outside: it's thunder. I dislike it so much. I lost all of my will to go outside. I was in my home whole the day after all. I could not go to even a supermarket.

Work

I worked on a class, and I got tired so much. We assistant students have to grade student's paper and program. It made me tired. In the grading, we faced some troubles because it was the first time for us. We wasted some hours for the reason. In fact, I had not slept at all the last night! After finishing the troublesome works, I went to bed of my laboratory.

I took some pictures on the way to home with my new digital camera. It is a paddy in the night.

Digital camera

I received a digital camera today. It is not so expensive as a digital camera, but the performance is good. I had really wanted that for a long time because I want to decorate this blog by some beautiful pictures. I will introduce new friend FinePixA500. This can take high quality pictures of five million pixels. The battery is two pieces of AA size, so it is available anywhere if the preservation is gone on some trip or travel. Though it is useful and excellent, the package has no pouch or bag to carry it. I am so anxious because it might be broken in my backpack. I have to buy a pouch in a hundred-yen shop. I will show the beautiful picture on here after that.

Meringue

When I work in my laboratory, a colleague took me to a kitchen to let me stir the white. He was cooking a chocolate cake with his friend and needed some helps to make meringue. I thought it was a good chance to improve my cooking skill, and I agreed to do the work. He gave me a electric stirrer and started the work. It was a little tired but interesting. I was surprised the alteration of the white. I can't believe the white swells out so much. I failed to control the machine in a bowl and splashed meringue here and there. My work was not so good, but meringue, which is the most important ingredients for the cake, was completed. The colleague mixed the ingredients including my meringue, then he put that into an oven. After waiting the baking and cooling, I ate the chocolate cake. It was very good. The bitter taste of cocoa powder made me happy. It was valuable experience. I want to try confectionery by myself too.
