Tokyo VS Fukuoka

To choose the site proposed for the Olympic in Japan, a vote was held in Tokyo. As the result, Tokyo won by a majority of 33 against 22, Fukuoka. Many people came from Fukuoka to make an appeal for the wonderfulness of their place, to hold the Olympic in their home. People from Fukuoka had elaborate preparation like building a so big town model in their anteroom while Tokyo side did nothing. Tokyo has the strength on the publicity and the economy. Tokyo side assembled famous entertainers or professional athletes to make them present their thought. This influence to the result seemed so big. Watching the news about this vote in TV, I feel as if the Olympic will hold in Japan, but there are many other countries to have a hope to hold the Olympic in the world. As my thought, Tokyo is more appropriate as the place than Fukuoka; it is easy to go to Tokyo for a lot of people. Anyway, I hope that the host country be Japan.

Garigari-kun

In these hot and soggy days, an ice cream is so helpful to mend my tired feeling. My favorite ice cream is GariGari-kun. Garigari-kun is so cheap but tasty, and I have eaten it from my childhood. I bought two kinds of Garigari-kun; soda taste and mango taste at an convenience store and ate that after a long time. I ate mango taste for the first time, and it was very good. Because I wonder how kinds of Garigari-kun there is, I searched the official web site. I was so surprised the number of variation. Does such various Garigari-kun existed from the past? I can't remember. The kinds I could find in the convenience store were only mango and soda. I really want to try all kinds of Garigari-kun before this summer passed.

When I wondered the web site, there was a notice from Akagi dairy industry; Garigari-kun seems to have no artificial coloring wihch is bad for our body. I had a misunderstanding that all ice cream contains artificial coloring more or less, so I admired the company. There are a lot of children who love Garigari-kun very much, so it is important to produce safe foods for such companies.

I have a question about a expression ice cream. I doubt that Garigari-kun is called as ice cream because it has no cream. People called such cold and sweet food "ice", but the word ice indicates only the solidified water, don't you? I thought that a better expression for Garigari-kun like "sherbet". What is the correct word?

To New York

The selected baseball team of high school students left for New York to participate in a friendly match with an American team. The member is selected 18 students who ran in Koshien, witch is the so big baseball meeting for high school student in Japan. The meeting held a lot of high level match because all teams had won in the meeting of each prefectures to play in Koshien. All high school baseball players effort for years to play in Koshien. The member of the selected team has played well in the meeting, so the team is, so to speak, the strongest students' team in Japan. The team has so famous players who broadcast in TV, so I cannot thought that they lost at any game. Some students in the team may be a professional baseball player or major leaguer in the future. I am hopeful of their well playing.

Sony's battery in notebook computers had a defect of flush or ignition, and it came to light recently. The number of lithium-ion batteries recalled by the trouble was 5.9 million. There were many inquiries to the call center of Apple Japanese corporation, and the stuff in charge of that bore the management. It spends 4 to 6 weeks until another battery come to the customers, and the term is twice as long as usual. Apple explains the reason as "Because of the lack of stock". The users cannot boot their notebook without inserting a plug in an outlet. Dell was also suffered by the accident. They had one hundred thousand calls in only one day. This seems to be a serious problem for Sony and other related companies.

My notebook, it's a HP-made computer, may also use the Sony's battery, HP did not recall because their computer has a device which senses a blowout and stops the computer's drive. There is such a precise explanation of device, but I have a little worry about this problem. My notebook never blowout and burn my house, don't you HP?

Toshiba Zune

I read a news of Zune, which is new music player from Microsoft. It was announced that Toshiba will produce the machine. Zune has 3 inches' display; that is like a PDA or portable game machine ( Click the link below ). The variations of color are white, black and brown. The capacity is 30GB in which users put music or other data. The amazing function is wireless LAN data transfer. The user can move data in their HDD to the Zune's drive through wireless LAN. FM radio can also be received.

What a wonderful product! I have used a HDD music player for a year, but it is sometimes out of order recently. The candidate of my new music player is Zune. It has some characteristics which any music player doesn't have; the wide display and wireless LAN function. Wireless LAN, there is a little concern about the speed of data transfer, is so hopeful. It may be possible to enjoy videogame or animation on the big display. The price have not told yet, and t.he release date seems to be this year. It may be so expensive that I can not get it, but I'm so looking forward to the day when the new technology and the service see the light.
