On Saturday, HAYABUSA and GUTS decided to take on the Lucent Nargacuga for the first time, a monster that we were warned of as being especially difficult and "different".
They headed off for their attack on the Lucent Nargacuga, vowing to hunt until the end even if it means failing the quest.
The battle was fierce and full of frantic fighting. Every hit counted, every dodge needed. They were using too many potions and taking too much time. Things were looking bad.
But it wasn't time to give up!
HAYABUSA suggests going back to camp to eat and exchange items (he is using the Wide Range skill to use antidotes). This could have been the turning point of the battle...
Now with some momentum, GUTS and HAYABUSA went straight at the Lucent Nargacuga, doing everything they could in hopes it would be enough to finish the quest successfully.
But, it looked like the end.
GUTS carted once already and they were nearly out of potions. the Narga wasn't slowing down at all and would constantly be in rage mode.
HAYABUSA and GUTS use their last Mega Potion and Life Powder, this was it.
A few more moments and they will most likely both cart and fail the quest. Only taking back with them what they carved from the cut tail. They considered their fate to be certain.
Then suddenly! GUTS draws his Great Sword on the jumping Nargacuga, hitting it square in the face as it turned in the air.
QUEST CLEARED!
It was almost too unbelievable, they had done it! Alright!＾＾v
