"When a company performs the required NFPA-25, the standard for the inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems, it often means discharging stagnant, rusty water directly into the environment," said Richard Jacobs, general manager of the filtration division. "The AquaGard multi-stage filtration system filters out corrosive materials as small as 10 microns. Plus, it may help reduce microbial agents and hydrocarbons sometimes found in discharged water."
The AquaGard system includes Eaton's new Splash Guard accessory, designed with operator safety in mind. It helps protect operators from unexpected pressurized spray and discharge and provides additional eye and face protection.
