Traveling using the 7-day Japan Rail Pass after a long time. This time round, l started the trip from Ikebukuro, Tokyo, in Honshu Island.

My schedule for the day :-

Ikebukuro --------->Tokyo (Yamanote line bound for Ueno)
Tokyo --------->Shin-Kobe (Hikari Shinkansen)
Shin-Kobe ---------->Okayama (Sakura Shinkansen)
Okayama --------->Takamatsu (Marine Liner)
Takamatsu -----------> Tokyo (Sunrise Seto)

I started my journey from about 9 am and ended around 3+ in the afternoon on another island of Japan, Shikoku! I had planned to go to a famous garden in Takamatsu but since it was getting dark. I shelved my plan. Instead, l walked the longest shopping street I've ever come across in Japan. Ate the udon, which is famous in Kagawa, l read, for dinner. Then slowly made my way back to Takamatsu station. Waited till 9+ at night for my sleeper train, Sunrise Seto to pull into the station. Then excitedly went onboard to look for my single sleeping berth. It's a tiny little "room" l had for myself, very cozy and nice! I enjoyed my 9 hours+ trip on Sunrise Seto back to Tokyo爆笑
