This day was yet another train-hopping day 'cause these special themed trains which l took are only available on weekends
After checking out of the very conveniently-located Metropolitan Nagano Hotel, we moved towards Shin Takaoka Station in Toyama Prefecture. Took the Hakutaka Shinkansen again early in the morning.

The reason I'm here is because l wanted to catch the classic Belles montagnes et mer train. This train travels from Shin Takaoka station to Himi Station. Himi is a small fishing town fronting the Sea of Japan. Therefore the "Berumonta"(nickname for this special train) passed by areas with beautiful scenery. Another special feature is that you could enjoy fresh sushi prepared by a sushi chef on board the train. Unfortunately for me, l don't take raw food, l gave what seemed to be gourmet food by others a miss
My train schedule for the day :-
Nagano -----------> Shin-Takaoka (Hakutaka Shinkansen)
Shin-Takaoka -----------> Himi (Belles montagnes et mer) to and fro
Shin-Takaoka -----------> Kanazawa (Tsurugi Shinkansen)
After reaching Kanazawa Station, we went to check into the hotel which we stayed for the night, Mystay Kanazawa Premier, located about 10min walk from the station. After dumping our luggage at the hotel, we walked back to Kanazawa Station to take another themed train, the Hanayome Noren train. A strikingly-red train
Kanazawa -------------->Wakura Onsen (Hanayome Noren) to & fro

Nagano (Nagano Prefecture)
Shin-Takaoka, Himi (Toyama Prefecture)
Kanazawa (Kanazawa Prefecture)
Wakuraonsen (Ishikawa Prefecture)
