戦さで仲間が殺され、病気で友が亡くなり子が亡くなり、老衰で母が亡くなりました。しかし、今、その侍は平和で平穏な時を過ごせるようになりました。 死を忘れ、時を意識せず、ただ、時間の流れに身を委ねて時を過ごせることに、この上ない束の間の幸せを感じました。
身近の死は人生の短さを教え、諸行無常を知らしめます。しかし、天地の時間は永遠に続きます。その長さは測り知れません。
香取神道流師範大竹利典先生に芥子劫と磐石劫を教えていただきました。芥子劫とは、四十里（１６０キロメートル）四方の城にいっぱいに詰まった芥子粒（カラシの実）を百年に１度只１粒を取り続け、城内の芥子が取り尽くされて無くなるまでの時間を一劫と言う。磐石劫とは、四十里（１６０キロメートル）四方の大岩を百年に１度天から舞い降りる天女の薄い羽衣の袖で撫でて、その摩擦で大岩がなくなるまでの時間を一劫と言う。 人に与えられた時間は芥子粒１個より短く、羽衣の袖が１回大岩を撫でるより短い。
若者の特権は死を感じず、限りある時間を意識せずに生きられることです。俗に言う、”怖いもの知らず”です。それ故に、過去に捕らわれず、何も恐れず、新しいことに挑戦することができます。その特権で、正しい目標に向かって挑戦してください。誤った目標は不正義と深い後悔を招きます。正しい目標に向かってやり遂げてください。 やらなくて後悔するより、やって失敗した方がましです。失敗のない人生は失敗です。再起ができることも若者の特権です。
My companies passed away in war, and a friend & a child died of sickness, and my mother died of senile decay. But the worrier just spent now calm time peacefully. I forgot death and wasn't conscious of time, and happiness in the greatest brief moment was felt to be able to devote oneself to a flow in time and spend time.
Death of lose freinds tells shortness of the life and makes us know the impermanence of all things. But time of the universe continues eternally. I can not measure its length.
I was taught by the master of Katori Shintoryu Risuke Otake about Keshi Kou and Banshaku Kou to. A mustard grain with which a castle is filled fully (160 kilometers) with mustard grains (fruit of mustard), I keep getting 1 grain once per one hundred years, and time until the mustard in castle is passed up and disappears is called Ichi Kou. Taigan (huge rock : 160 kilometers in square) is stroked with a sleeve of a thin robe of feathers of the celestial maiden who flies down from heaven once per one hundred years and time until Taigan dies of the friction is called Ichi Kou. Time when it was given to a person is shorter than 1 mustard grain, and a sleeve of a robe of feathers.
Young people's special privilege is that they don't feel death and they are not conscious time is limited. You're talking about it vulgarly. Therefore they are not to be seized in the past and to challenge a new thing. Please challenge to the right target by the special privilege. A wrong target causes injustice and regret. The regret of what you did and failed is much better the regret of what you did not. You life without failure is failure. It's also young people's special privilege to be able to recover.
