Well, the last couple of weeks have been very busy. Instead of moving at the end of August I will be moving at the end of July and there are just so many things to do. My 'to do' list just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
I have about a third of my packing done and I have managed to get rid of a lot of stuff that I have accumulated over the past nine years. Many friends have asked "are you getting rid of that" and so I have managed to find new homes for many of the things I no longer needed.
As I was explaining to a friend the other day, although I am not moving far for this move, actually I am only moving across the complex into another unit, but this unit is better than the one I have. But in the process of taking care of things and going back and forth for measuring I have met some of my new neighbors. These new neighbors are very nice and I think they will be a lot of fun to hang around with. Last night we met up out in the park area to enjoy the beautiful evening and have a few drinks. I found that we are a very diverse bunch of people, although we all live in the same town, none of us are actually from this area. Most of us are from other states and even a few are from other countries, so it is a very nice mix of people.
I can say that I truly look forward to moving and getting settle in with my new neighbor friends.
