Wawona campground is situated at the southern end of the park, about 27 miles and 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley. We wanted to stay in the valley but all spots were fully booked so we decide to stay here. Our spot (Loop-A. #22) was peaceful, specious and right next to a beautiful river. We enjoyed 3 days of bouldering and hiking (Upper Yosemite Falls Trail – 6.8 miles round trip).
